RetrievalP Get it for Windows

Terms of Service

Effective 28 October 2026. These terms cover buying and using RetrievalP passes and this website. Using the app itself is also covered by the licence agreement you accept when you install it.

Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and al-Itawa Jusef, Teknologiapuistonkatu 2 C 37, 53850 Lappeenranta, Finland, Business ID 3578144-1 (“we”). By buying a pass or using RetrievalP you accept them. To buy a pass you must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

When you buy, your purchase is made from Paddle, our reseller (see “Buying, payment and receipts”). The right to use the app comes from us, under these terms and the licence agreement.

What RetrievalP is

RetrievalP is software for Windows that recovers deleted photos and videos from an iPhone connected to your computer by USB. The free preview scan shows how many deleted items it found and a few examples. The full scan and saving recovered files require a pass, and removing leftovers from an iPhone requires the clean-up add-on.

What you need

A Windows 10 or 11 computer (64-bit); an iPhone with its USB cable, which you can unlock and which trusts the computer; Apple's iPhone driver, which comes free with the Apple Devices app or iTunes and isn't part of RetrievalP; an internet connection to activate a pass; and enough free space for what you save. Please run the free preview scan first: it shows whether RetrievalP works with your computer and iPhone before you pay.

RetrievalP depends on how iOS, Windows and Apple's driver work. A future update to them could stop it working. If that happens while your pass is valid, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.

Passes and add-ons

A pass or add-on is valid for the period and on the number of computers shown when you buy it. The period starts when you buy, not when you activate. A RetrievalP pass lasts 30 days on one computer; to move it, remove it from the first computer in the app, then activate it on the other. Passes are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and don't renew.

Activating a pass and the check the app makes about twice a day need an internet connection. If the app can't reach our licence server, the pass keeps working offline for up to 3 days.

If you open a chargeback for a purchase, its key stops working while the bank decides. Please contact us first: unused passes are refunded within 14 days, and faulty ones at any time.

Your licence key is for you. You may not share or resell it. We may cancel a key that is shared, resold or used against these terms or the licence agreement, without a refund to the extent the law allows.

Buying, payment and receipts

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it takes payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, issues the receipt and processes refunds, and handles questions about payments and returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself. The price shown at checkout includes the taxes that apply to you. After payment, your licence key is emailed to you, and if you bought from inside the app, the app activates it by itself.

Refunds and your right of withdrawal

If you haven't used your pass, email [email protected] within 14 days of buying and we will have Paddle refund you in full; you don't have to give a reason. A pass counts as used once RetrievalP has started a full scan with it, and the clean-up add-on once it has removed leftovers. The free preview scan doesn't use a pass. A used pass or add-on can't be refunded, unless RetrievalP didn't work as described. When a purchase is refunded, its licence key stops working. See the refund policy.

If you live in the EU or the UK, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once you start using it, if you agreed to this and acknowledged that you would lose the right. RetrievalP asks for that agreement before your pass runs its first full scan, and your licence key email confirms it. Until then, you can withdraw within 14 days of buying.

What RetrievalP can and can't recover

RetrievalP can only recover what is still stored on the iPhone. Photos deleted more than 30 days ago usually come back as preview copies, at the size the phone kept them, and some items can't be recovered at all. The free preview scan shows what is on your iPhone before you buy, so please check it first. The full scan can find a different number of items than the free preview scan estimates, for example because some previews are blank or match photos you still have.

Use it only on devices you are allowed to use

Use RetrievalP only on an iPhone that you own, or that its owner has clearly allowed you to scan. Using it to get into someone else's photos without permission may be a crime and is not allowed.

This website

You may use this website to learn about RetrievalP, download it and buy passes. Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the website or our licence server. The privacy policy explains what data the website and the app handle.

Our responsibility

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights when digital content is faulty, and nothing in these terms limits them. If RetrievalP doesn't work as described, we will fix it or, if we can't, refund you.

RetrievalP's scan only reads from the iPhone and doesn't change anything on it. Only the clean-up add-on deletes files from the phone, and only the leftovers it lists, after you confirm.

Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows: we don't promise that RetrievalP will recover any particular file, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for RetrievalP. This limit doesn't apply to harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, to death or personal injury, or to anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Keep your own backups of anything important.

If you buy as a business, the consumer rights above don't apply, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or lost data, to the extent the law allows.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our payment, hosting or email providers.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we change what we sell. The version in force when you bought applies to that purchase. We will not take away features of a pass you have already paid for during its validity.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Please contact us first; we would rather fix a problem than argue about it. Consumers in Finland can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority's consumer advice service.

General

These terms, the licence agreement, the refund policy, the privacy policy and Paddle's buyer terms are the whole agreement about RetrievalP. If a court finds part of them invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up. We may transfer these terms to someone who takes over RetrievalP, without reducing your rights; you may not transfer them or your licence key. These terms are written in English, and the English version applies.
